Porsche has released images and specs of their new GT3 RSR. Intended to dominate in GT2-class this new Porsche racecar has a much more menacing look up front. It’s louvered hood lets in more cool fresh air for the powerful Porsche’s radiator. The rear wing is said to have an angle that is different then the previous years car which allows for more adjustability. The brakes and wiring harness have been trimmed to reduce over all weight. The driver gets a new multifunction display and the racecars oil filler has been relocated giving better access. A new and improved air jack has been included making the GT3 RSR and even more improved track beast. Power has been reduced from 465HP @ 8K rpm to 450HP @ 7.8K rpm but features a bump in displacement from 3.8 to 4.0 liters. Torque numbers stay the same at 317 lb-ft at 7250 rpm. The new GT3 RSR revs all the way up to 9K rpm and Porsche claims the new cars torque curve is optimized a lot more then last years GT3 RSR. Watch out for the new 2009 Porsche GT3 RSR in both the Le Man and American Le Mans series next season.
